I believe that you have the power within yourself to accomplish your goals and dreams, but I also believe that sometimes, we need help. Hi! My name is Amanda Hicks, and I am here to support you on your journey.
My focus is on the therapeutic relationship with the client, and I believe counseling is a collaborative effort. I enjoy working with teenagers, young adults, and adults who struggle with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, self-worth, and substance use issues. I believe in creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment for my clients where they can be comfortable in expressing their feelings and emotions in a healthy way. Because of my own life experiences, I am passionate about helping others navigate and understand the complexities of past trauma and how it can affect their daily lives. My therapeutic approach includes, but is not limited to CBT, emotionally focused, person-centered, strengths based and mindfulness-based therapy.
As an Associate-Level Therapist I am supervised by a Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW with over 24 years of experience.
