Process-Based Therapy may consist of both DBT, CBT and some EMDR techniques. Counselors will engage individuals in talk therapy to address identified concerns in the here and now. Counselors will encourage individuals to confront behaviors and thought patterns as it relates to the presenting issue. Individuals are expected to learn increase coping skills, awareness, insight as well as learn healthy ways of being in order to improve their overall life satisfaction. Sessions are 50 minutes and the resolution time varies, depending upon the presenting issue.
