Kosheda Butler, LAC

Kosheda Butler is a dedicated and passionate Licensed Associate Counselor. She has over 15 years of experience working with children and adolescents. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education in School Counseling. Her extensive experience in the educational setting has immensely influenced her eclectic counseling approach.

Kosheda’s diverse background, cultural awareness, and cultural competency allows her to provide authentic, genuine care to the clients she serves.

Kosheda has an eclectic counseling approach, which allows her to differentiate her treatment modalities based on each individual clients’ needs. She is skilled in person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), children and adolescent therapy, and solution focused therapy. In addition to individual therapy, she is also skilled in group counseling, and grief counseling.

Kosheda’s counseling philosophy is centered around total acceptance, unconditional regard, and empathetic understanding. She believes in counselor-client collaboration to address and solve problems.

Overall, Kosheda’s goal is to create and maintain a safe, comfortable, trusting environment for her clients. She is dedicated to helping all individuals overcome barriers and challenges to improve their lives while reaching their highest potential.
